Thank You

Hi everyone!!  I thought I would share a card I made a couple weeks back that was for the SCS sketch challenge.  I ended up making this card monochromatic because I realized after I had most of it colored that I colored the leaves incorrectly!  But I do like how it turned out!!  I was intimidated by coloring this gorgeous flower from Melanie's Stately Flowers 3 set, I'm not sure why but sure glad I finally did, I had a lot of fun with it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps:  GKD Stately Flowers 3
Paper:  GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, Chocolate Brown, Basic Grey

Today we are featuring Theresa's new set Wild About You.  I love everything about this set, it will be great for so many types of cards!!  I tried to think of something different for this card.  I love tree images and this one is no exception.  The Peace sentiment seemed to be a perfect pair!

Next up is Rupa's new set, Blooming with Blessings.  This is my favorite image from the set, this duck is so cute and I love the fun happy look on his face!!  He looks like he is having such a great time!!  I stepped out of my comfort zone with this card and used colored cardstock for the base, hee hee!!

I wanted to step out of the box a bit for this card so I used one of the smaller images to create a background. I used clear embossing powder and randomly stamped the pattern.  This sentiment is one of my all time favorites so I could not resist using it!!  You can barely see it but there is a butterfly under!

Tami's new set is perfect for any type of masuline card you will need!  To me this image was just screaming bold primary colors!!  I tried to give the look of each layer "jumping off the page" but still a single layer.  I haven't ever tried this before but it seems to look a bit like that to me!  I scored lines at the bottom and used my stars embossing folder for the top portion.

Chase your Dreams

Hi everyone!!  Today's card is for Regina's challenge on Stamp TV and this weeks CPS sketch!!  Regina's  challenge for us is to have distressing on your card and add a tag!  I love distressing so I was excited when she told me what her challenge would be!  I used Theresa's new set Whimsical Spring, such a fun set!!!  I started out by stamping the outline stamp with Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Distress ink, using my Stamp a Ma Jig, I offset the solid leaves a bit using TH Peeled Paint.   I used my distress tool around the edges and rubbed with Frayed Burlap.  For the circle portion the sketch calls for I pierced.

love u

Hi everyone!!  My card is for 2 challenges, today's Inspiration challenge on Splitcoast and this weeks CAS-ual Fridays challenge to use ribbon.  Initially I got an idea to cut the ribbon with my dies but that didn't work very well and the ribbon started to unravel so plan be was to cut paper with the letters and run a strip of ribbon along the back.  My inspiration came from this heart, which gave me the idea of the love u and my heart punch. The card needed something more so I added the lines around the sides, the bling and scored the main layer.  Fun challenges!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Stamps:  none!
Paper:  Gina K Pure Luxury White, PTI Pure Poppy

Way Back Wednesday

Hi everyone!!  Today's card was a lot of fun for me to make!  The Splicoast Product Focus group was sent some fun coloring mediums!!  For my card I made my background using Faber-Castell Gelatos.  I haven't ever used these before but it was so fast and easy!  I just ran the Gelato along the paper and when I had all the colors down I rubbed over with my finger to smooth it out and blend the colors.  I really like the effect!!  I chose this image from an old Gina K Stamp TV Kit, Eclectic Summer, this image sold me on the whole set, I just love it but for some reason don't use it much.  I thought it was perfect for hubs Valentine card!!  My sentiment is from a small Verve set but I wasn't able to find it on the website.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Supplies:
Stamps:  GKD Eclectic Summer & Verve sentiment
Ink:  Versamark
Paper:  GKD Pure Luxury White & Black

A Year of Flowers Book Hop

Thank you for hopping along today with the Gina K. Design Team!! If you arrived here from Lee's blog, then you're right where you should be. You can always go to StampTV to start from the beginning.  The inspiration for today's hop came from Melanie Muenchinger's new book called, A Year of Flowers.

While you can make every design in the book with Melanie’s all occasion “A Year of Flowers” set, today’s samples showcase her coordinating florals, which can also be used with the book's tutorials and designs, and provide endless options and more value for your money. We are excited to share cards and projects we created using some of our favorite flower sets designed by Melanie! We love her new book and know you will too - don't miss out on getting your very own copy which you can purchase HERE!
My sample uses Spring Basket.

I kept my card simple, the basket and flowers are so beautiful, I don't want to take anything away from them!!  I used a polka dot embossing folder on the back layer and pierced around the top layer.

Leave comments along our hop today to enter to win one of Melanie's coordinating floral sets of your choice. The more comments you leave the more chances to win! Melanie will draw a name randomly from one blog and post the winner tomorrow morning. She is also giving away her Crazy Daisy digital patterned paper FREE if you link Gina's video or her post, please see Melanie's blog for details! Good Luck!

Inspiration Hop Day 3

Hi everyone!!!  Today we are showing the new Free with 3 set!!  I've always loved the Free sets and this one is no exception, fun fun fun!!  I truly had a hard time deciding which image and sentiment but went with this one because I love birds and thought this sentiment went so perfectly with it!!  I knew I wanted to incorporate Key Lime, I really like this color and I think it goes so well with the kraft.  I wanted to do something different with that layer but made an accidental discovery that I really like!!  I was running the layer through my crimper (haven't used that thing in ages!!) several times and then for whatever reason decided to turn it and this is how it came out, I think it is a great texture layer, I love the look!!  The colors look kind of funny in the picture but coordinate much better irl!

You'll want to hop and see all the fabulous Inspiration the Design Team has in store!!  And don't forget to leave comments along the way!!  2 commenters will be chosen randomly to win a Grab Bag of fabulous Gina K. stamps!!

Hi everyone and welcome to day 2 of the GKD Inspiration Hop!!!
My first card is from Theresa's Whimsical Spring set.  Such a gorgeous and versatile set!!  And the name makes me happy with "spring" in it :)  I used the sketch from this weeks sketch challenge on Splitcoast, thought it worked so well!!  I haven't gone white on white for a while so I thought it was time again :)

Next is my card from Girl Talk.  What a fun set this is!!  Love all the fun sentiments to!!  I colored the girl, cut her out and popped her up with foam tape.  I added a little glossy accents to her glasses and small gold pearls to the center of the flower and her necklace.  I scored around the panel twice, love scoring!!
