Battle of the Bands

Welcome to "The Battle of the Bands" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo friends and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict Band groups! It might be our favorite, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Paula you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose band-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way!  Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, May 29, as well as at the Hambo Hoedown challenge blogWe love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, May 26 at 5 PM CST. Don't miss it!

I sure LOVE good ole Rock 'n Roll so I had to use my Bailey Rocks digi image, one of my favorites!!  :)  The band that came to mind immediately was "Three Dog Night", my favorite song of theirs is "Never Been to Spain".  I remember as a little girls sitting and looking out the window while this song was playing on the radio, fun little memory!  I was going to color Bailey in "girl" colors but in honor of the band, I went more masculine.  :)
I had a lot of fun with this challenge!!!

Now jam on over to Jenn for another great Band group that will have you tappin' you foot!

box of crayons

Hi everyone!!  Last night I wanted to make a card for no particular reason (that doesn't happen very often!) and I've been itching to use my new Dream in Color set from the new stamp company Reverse Confetti!!  I fell in love with this set from the first card I saw!!  I took out an old Kaleidacolor Bouquet inkpad (that hasn't seen the light of day in forever!) and brayered onto glossy cardstock.  The sentiment is embossed with black embossing powder.  The layers are popped up with pop dots and I added some little stars from Impress (love these little things!)
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!!

CSS Group Color Hop!!

Hi everyone and welcome to the CSS group hop for May!  You should have arrived from the talented Miesje's blog, if not be sure to head over to Stamp TV to start from the beginning, you don't want to miss a thing!!  This months challenge is a color challenge from Miesje, make a non-Christmas card using green, red and a neutral, black, white or tan.  I immediately thought of making a card with flower/s but thought I needed to challenge myself a little more.  As I was looking through my sets I ran into my Pefect Plaids set and knew that would be perfect for this challenge!  I truly love this set, it is so much fun to play around with different stripes and colors!
Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K Designs products!  Look for the announcement on Tuesday May 28th.
Next on the hop is the fabulous Linda!

celebrate!

Hi everyone!!  Today I have a card for the CAS challenge on SCS.  This weeks challenge is "That Smells Great!"  I immediately thought of my new set from Paper Smooches Think Fast.  Isn't that piece of pizza cute?!  I colored with my Copic markers and heat embossed the celebrate sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler set using Zing Chestnut embossing powder.  I thought this would be a fun but different birthday card!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Wildflower Birthday

Hi everyone!!  Today's card is for the featured stamper challenge on SCS and this weeks lucky lady is Smoatsmom, congratulations Colleen!!  I chose to CASE this card, changing the theme, stamps used background stamps instead of an embossing folder, made a bow and more colors.  I recently treated myself to some new stamps and had to get Peaceful Wildflowers from My Favorite Things, such a gorgeous set!!!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!!
