Smiling while Stamping

Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for som of my favorite challenges with similar themes!  I'm limited on time this week so it is fun to combine them!  The Paper Players challenge is CAS celebration and CASology's cue card is Congratulations.  Finally, for this weeks Simon Says Wednesday challenge to add some shimmer!  I stamped the bottom portion with my MFT Distressed Patterns stamp set, the celebrate is cut out with my Little B dies and popped up.  I used my Wink of Stella clear pen to color it for some simmer.  I added a few sequins and added Star Dust Stickles to the center for a little shimmer on the top portion of the card.  I pulled out some grosgrain to make a bow!  I haven't done that in quite some time!  So glad I still know how to make one!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Camp Create - Wonderful Watercolor

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for my final MFT Camp Create challenge, Wonderful Watercolor.  I love watercoloring but this is not the kind I normally do.  I almost didn't post this, I'm not all that happy with it and I need lots more practice watercoloring!  But, I thought I would because we all start from somewhere!  Love this elephant set, it is so cute!  It was fun to put together!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Camp Create - Spectacular Shakers

Hi everyone!  Today I have another MFT Camp Create card.  This has been so much fun!  Today's card is for the Spectacular Shakers challenge.  I knew I wanted to use my Rectangle Peek a Boo window but didn't have any ideas beyond that.  As I was going through my shaker supplies, I found these fun snowflakes.  I think I got them as a freebie and I would like to find from where because they are a lot of fun!  I added glitter and seed beads to finish the shaker.   I heat embossed the sentiment from Hand Lettered Holiday in silver embossing powder to finish off the card.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks CASology challenge.  This weeks cue card is Masculine.  I decided to make my challenge card for my most favorite little guy that will be celebrating his first birthday in just a few days!  I made a slider card using Frantic Stamper's Toy Truck die that I colored using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I added acetate for the windows, gems for the headlights, silver paper behind the tires and black gems in the middle of the tires.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and I using washi tape for the road.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Calling All Sistahs!!

Hi everyone!  It's that time of month to do your self breast exam and hop along with us!  You should have arrived from the very talented Shona's blog!  If not, you may want to head over to the CAS-ual Friday's blog to start at the beginning!  There will be a $15 Gift Certificate given to people that comment along the hop so be sure to leave comments as you hop along!
This month I used the Hope Ribbon stamp set which I stamped 2 different pinks lightly on the stamp, then cut out using my Ruffled Ribbon Fri-Die.  I cut it out an additional 3 times using the pink colors for dimension and interest.  I did the same thing using my Hope Fri-Die but left the lighter pink on the top.  I'm still not sure if I like it, but the brighter pink seemed too much and white would have blended in too much I think.  50% of profits from the sale of products in the "Calling All Sistahs" stamps and dies are donated to breast cancer research and awareness.
I hope you enjoy my card and thanks so much for hopping along with us!
Next on the hop is the talented Nora!  And if you get lost along the way, I have the entire list of participants:
