Colors of October

Hi everyone!!  Today my card is for Patty's Hope You Can Cling To challenge on Splitcoast.  She is challenging us to "The Colors of October", we are to use green, pink, yellow and add opal or sparkle.  I thought this Zinnia image from Flourishes would be perfect for this challenge, it is gorgeous!!  I didn't have anything opal so I used these pretty sparkly iris sequins I have!!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Fill 'er Up!

Hi everyone!!  Today I have a card for 2 challenges!!  This weeks great sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and this weeks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge (hiya bud, thanks for the great challenge!!  :)) to use something new!! I used this super fun Tokens of Affection from Flourishes and  I used my yummy new Wild Cherry Grograin ribbon and the cute little heart crystals under the sentiment.  Can you believe this card took me 2 days to make?!!  Normally I don't have the patience to stay with a card that long but I was determined!  LOL!!  I just love this image, it is a lot of fun to color but it just took me a long time!!  I colored with Copics and added Glossy Accents to the middle and top of the tank and then the hearts and droplets off of the hose.  So fun!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Oh for the love of...

Hi everyone!!  Today I have a card for the Ways to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast, new year, new toys and the CardMaker challenge on Facebook, to use your favorite item.  I don't think it is any secret one of the items I use the most on cards are pop dots!!  I have a nice supply of them, can't take the chance of running out!!  ;)  And for my new items, the pattern paper I picked up from Archivers, Little Yellow Bicycle - Winterings.  Gorgeous pack of paper!!  I received some cash for Christmas so I treated myself to some goodies!!  One of the orders I placed was from Flourishes, I decided to take advantage of the mystery bag they were offering and did I ever receive a fabulous "bag"!!!  My stamp set was Kids Play, I was so excited to get this one (I actually gasped!!), it is so fun and so cute!!  I also ordered this great Natural Linen ribbon, love this stuff!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Hope You Can Cling To Part I

Hi everyone!!  Were you able to enjoy World Card Making Day yesterday?  I sure did!!  I managed to make 6 cards an altered project!!  I'm hoping to get more done today as well!!  Splitcoast is having their second annual Hope You Can Cling To card drive which started yesterday!!!  I was so honored when my good friend Lee asked me to be a sample maker, thanks girlfriend!!!  She has a really fun inspiration piece for us today!!  My inspiration came from the colors and of course the lace!  I colored my Zinnias image from Flourishes using my Copics, I'm still not too sure I like the color combo yet but it goes with the photo!!!
My goal is to get all of the challenges done this month, however I am going back to work tomorrow (so excited!!), I consider myself extremely lucky, it was the first job I applied for along with where I wanted to work!  I don't want to set myself up for disappointment if I don't get them all completed but this means so much to me I am going to give it my best shot.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!

Still Going Green!

I'm in LOVE (besides with my hubs, kids and friends that goes without saying right?) with PTI buttons!!! They are absolutely wonderful!!! I found the perfect white button to be added to this card for Taylor's sketch and this card is also for the Dirty Dozen Inspiration challenge. Beautiful peace!!! Green of course, brown and bits of yellow!!! In today's mail I received this gorgeous image from my good bud Denise (thanks so much bud, LOVE this image!!!), I had to color it up!!! I cut the flowers out and used dimentionals to pop them up, Denise does this with a lot of her cards and I just love the look!!!
I don't know why but my camera does not take good photos of any kind of green ribbon, it really is Ripe Olive, but doesn't look so much like it in the photo!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Stamp: Unknown
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Prism Smooth White, Papertrey Ripe Olive and Dark Chocolate, Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie

It was twice as nice when...

Today's featured stamper is Stacy aka Twinshappy, congratulations Stacy!!! This is the card I chose to case, Stacy has lots and lots of cards but as soon as I saw this one, I stopped!! I really liked her layout and the stamp set!! Her card is orange, I changed my main color to Papertrey's Raspberry Fizz, I also changed the brad placement, did not use the photo corner punch, the type of bow, I did not use dp and my layers are straight. This gorgeous image is from Flourishes Spring Ephemerals set. I LOVE this image, bleeding hearts are so beautiful!! I have a bleeding heart in my back yard that my grandmother gave me, the original plant goes back 5 generations!! So cool!! Very simple card, the base is Papertrey's White Select, a layer of Papertrey Raspberry Fizz, True Black and White Select. I wrapped Raspberry Fizz around all layers except the base, made my bow and added my Raspberry Fizz, True Black and the image panel. I added the black brads, waalaaa!! Fun and easy!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
