Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge.   This sketch is a lot of fun, I have another idea and may be back with another version tomorrow!  I used an old Inky Antics stamp that I've had for a real long time but just love!  It fit perfectly inside the doily!  And going with the "old" theme, all of the products are old except the sequins ;)

I have been busy working on cards for next weeks Gina K release!! I cannot wait for you to see the new sets, they are all so awesome!!! Because I am preparing for the release I wanted to make an easy card for today's post. I checked out the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge and thought it was a great sketch for an easy card!! I have been wanting to use my Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper, I just love this stuff!!!! I haven't used this sentiment stamp in a while so everything went together really well!!!

A Penny in a JAR

I headed to bed, I was really tired, but my mind started going at full speed!! I looked through the Featured Stamper challenge and gallery before laying down and picked a card to case and couldn't stop thinking about it!! So rather than fighting it, I got up to make my card!! LOL!! This weeks featured stamper is StampingQueenJAR, congratulations Judy!! This is the card I chose to case, I loved her layout and the sentiment on the front. I changed the colors, sentiment, hers was a technique challenge card, I used dp instead and I used my edge punch. I immediately knew which sentiment I wanted to use, this is from Inky Antics. I love this little sentiment!! I decided to use my Basic Grey Porcelain paper pad and this dp matched so well with the New Leaf cardstock from Papertrey!! I used my Martha Stewart Cornice Edge punch on the top and bottom portion of the New Leaf cardstock and on the bottom portion of the dp. I wrapped New Leaf Grosgrain ribbon around the middle and tied in a knot. The sentiment was cut out using my Labels 1 Nestabilites. The base card is Papertrey White Select. Looking at the card now I think I should have added a little something on the top portion!

High Hopes and Dirty Dozen Challenges

Hello!!! I hope you had a great weekend!!! On Saturday we went to Stillwater and enjoyed the beautiful scenery!! We have not been there in quite some time and had no idea how busy it would be!!!
I finished up on a few cards tonight after work and wanted to share with you!!! My first card is for the High Hopes challenge #3 posted on their blog yesterday. The challenge was to use stitching in your card. I chose to faux stitch around the image. This image is Bear-ly Warming Up. Isn't he fun!!!! I thought it would be an appropriate image given how cool it is starting to get. Yuck!! But I just love him, he is so fun!!!! I colored the image using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. I added a small amount of Liquid Applique to the marshmallows. The image and base card are White Select from Papertrey, the image panel is mounted on Chocolate Chip. I added a piece of Handsome Hunter to the base card, cut the 2 small panels into 2 x 2 squares in Chocolate Chip cardstock, then adding a small sqare of dp from Stampin Up! that I received from my friend Cyndee (*waving hi*), thanks so much Cyndee!!!! I then added Espresso Bella Baubles to finish off the outside of the card. On the inside I stamped a few marshmallows along the bottom of the card.

My second card is for the Central Theme Dirty Dozen challenge. For the central theme we were to use vivid colors. I used a few of the new colors that Stampin Up! came out with in August. This card also qualifies for the Product and Materials challenge, coloring mediums. I used both Copic markers and of course my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. The image is from Inky Antics, Cupcake Chef. I really love cupcakes so when I needed to order more stumps I couldn't pass this one by!! The base card, image panel and Party Time panel is again White Select from Papertrey. I cut the cupcake chef out using my oval Nestabilities and cut out a scalloped oval in basic black. I used Riding Hood Red cardstock behind the chef and the Party Time panel. The ribbon is also Riding Hood Red. The Party Time sentiment is from Amuse. They have so many fun sentiments and the fonts are a lot of fun too!! I used my new tag Nestabilites for the sentiment panel, added some black brads and popped that panel up using dimentionals.


My final card for today is for the Dirty Dozen Sketch challenge. I had a lot of fun with this one!! I love sketch challenges!!!! This image is We're all Ears from High Hopes. They are so cute!!! For this card I used Very Vanilla for the base card and image panel. I colored the image using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. I cut the image panel out using my circle Nestabilites, the second and third panels were cut out using my scallop Nestabilites. I used basic black and Always Artichoke. The designer paper is the fun paper that Denise sent me from K & Co. I love the paper!!! The card seemed to be missing something so I used some orange baubles I have and I really like the look of it.

Lavendar Friend

Hi There!! My card today is for the Our Creative Corner challenge this week. Jennifer Meyer is the hostess this month and for her first challenge she chose a great sketch!! As I mentioned in my last post, I absolutely LOVE the new colors from Papertrey! I wanted to use my new set from them Guide Lines. I still need to practice more but I know this is going to be a really great and versitle set!! The base of the card along with the larger panel and sentiment panel are Papertrey's Vintage Cream cardstock. For the larger Lavendar Moon panel, I used my paper piercer and pierced along the outside, for the Plum Pudding and Vintage Cream panel I distressed along the edge, after stamping my design and distressing I ran my Lavendar Moon cube along the edges, I really like how the ink moved to the inside of the design!! Before attatching the Vintage Cream Panel I ran Lavendar Moon ribbon around the Plum Pudding panel. The smaller Lavendar Moon and sentiment panel were run through the Cuttlebug using the square Nestabilities and I again ran the ink pad along the edge. I finished off the card by cutting the ribbon off and attatching a vanilla colored brad. I really like this sentiment from Inky Antics. I am not sure why the picture looks so dark and the colors are not matching in the picture, it does look much better irl!!
