Puppy Love

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks MFT card challenge and today's Way to Use It challenge on SCS, Puppy Love.  I thought the sketch was a great one and perfect for this adorable puppy from MFT's You Make My Tail Wag set.  I watercolored the puppy with Gathered Twigs and Walnut Stain for the body and Hickory Smoke for the nose.  I watercolored the dish with Worn Lipstick Oxide ink.  The background and flag panel were stamped with Worn Lipstick Oxide ink and then sprinkled and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

X-Stitch Birthday

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I thought it was a great sketch, but I had to work hard for it!  LOL!!  I just received this new stamp set, Stitched Roses from Waffle Flower.  I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it, besides stamping, I am a cross stitcher and have been for many many years, so of course I had to have it!  I didn't have trouble lining things up, but the acetate sheet moved on me a few times, which of course I didn't notice until I had already stamped so I wasted a few sheets of paper!  The sentiment is from Simon Says "It's Your Birthday!" set which I thought went perfect with the roses!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

What's that you say?

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this week's Stamp TV Mix it up Monday challenge.  Cat is hosting and wanted us to use a quotation as inspiration for our card.  I went to Pinterest and found the quote "Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air" by Ralph Waldo Emerson.  I loved it and made me think of the beach!  I used Theresa Momber's "By the Sea 2" for the images and sentiment.  It is hard to see but the sentiment is heat embossed.  I cut the paper out with Nestabilities, left it in the die while I sponged.  I used Salty Ocean, Gathered Twigs, Antique Linen, Ground Espresso and Tumbled Glass distress inks and stamped the images and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

FS527

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast.  This week the lucky lady is bubblestx4, congratulations Linda!  I chose to CASE this card, changing the colors and the theme.  I also just stamped one image and added some Nuvo.  I was able to play with my new Clarity Stencil Brushes for this card.  They are so fun to play with!  I used Carved Pumpkin, Gathered Twigs, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey distressed inks, as I was going for a masculine look.  After I brushed the ink, I spritzed with water and spread it a little for a little more of a blend with the brush.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!
