Gold

Hi everyone!  I'm back again today with another Winnie & Walter World Card Making Day challenge!  This one is from Lydia and she is challenging us to use gold or metallic on our project.  I knew I wanted to use my In Bloom: Maggie's Roses Cutaways for my card, I love these gorgeous dies!  The leaves and rose are inked on watercolor paper, rose and leaves cut with gold paper and the sentiment is from my The Big, The Bold and The Happy embossed with gold embossing powder.  The rose us up on pop dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by again today!!

Watercolor

Hi everyone!  I'm still playing along with Winnie & Walter's World Card Making day challenges, hoping to get a few more in!  I'm loving watercoloring lately so I had to be sure and play along with Vanessa's Watercolor challenge!  I used Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade and used the smooshing technique on this card.  Drying and added additional color in between layers.  I used my The Big The Bold and The Happy stamp set and happy cutaway, love love love this set!!  To finish off the card I added drops of glossy accents.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

happy birthday sketch

Hi everyone!  I'm back again with another card for World Card Making day!  I'm having a ton of fun playing in Winnie & Walter's challenges and this card is for Gayatri's sketch.  I thought it would be so fun to use my new Scenery:  Big Bang Confetti, love this fun set!!  The birthday is from my The Big The Bold and The Happy and I used my happy cutaway and added glossy accents to help it stand out more.  I randomly added a few sequins to finish off the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by again today!

Make it Masculine

Hi everyone and happy world card making day!!  I have a card for Julie's  Make it Masculine challenge for Winnie & Walter's World Card Making Day challenge.  I don't do it often enough but I do love making masculine cards, they are a true challenge but fun to figure out!!  Earlier this week I received my new Winter Woodland set that I got for both Christmas and masculine cards, I think it perfect for both!  Lots of sponging around the edges with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs and Walnut Stain distress inks.  The birthday panel is up with pop dots.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

World Card Making Day 14

Hi everyone!  Happy World Card Making Day!  My card is for a few challenges, this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch challenge, Operation Write Home's World Card Making Day challenge to create a love card and finally My Favorite Things World Card Making Day festivities via social media!  I was looking at my washi tape for the CAS(E) challenge, I thought this pattern would go perfectly with this sentiment from MFT's Journal It - For the Record set.  Initially I was only going to use a few raspberry sequins but the tiny rhinestones jumped out at me too and I though they would be a fun addition!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

You Melt My Heart

I am still working on cards for World Card Making day, I am hoping to get a couple more done, but we will see how that goes!! This card is for Gina's color challenge, dark brown, pumpkin and ivory. Last night we were at the final car show of the season and there was a vendor selling hot chocolate, as we walked by I saw a cup, it had whipped cream with little chocolate sprinkles on top! Yummmmmm!!! So, as I am paper piecing the image I remembered that and had to incorporate it into my card!! I used Liquid Applique for the whipped cream and before heat setting, I added brown glitter!! The cup and sentiment is from Carolyn King's new set Warm Winter Wishes, she is donating all proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of her Grandmother. I was so excited and honored to be working with this set for Gina K's release, as my Grandmother also had Alzheimer's. While the image was still in the die, I sponged around the image. The top area seemed to need something so I added pearls. I went over the steam with my Sakura Clear Gelly Roll pen for my final touch.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!
