Flower Basket

I decided to participate in Jen's sketch for today! I have not participated in one of her challenges in a long time, there are so many out there!!! This is a great sketch that really made me think!!! I decided to use a Whiff of Joy Willow with flower basket that my good buddy Denise sent me, thanks so much bud, I love her!!! Before I started to color I dug through my stash of paper for my color inspiration, I found this fun Daisy D paper I received from Archivers I think last spring, I loved the colors!! Willow's pants, the leaves her hair bow and the bow on her shirt were colored with my Copic marker G99, all of the flowers were colored with R32, her shirt and shoes were colored with Y26, skin E50, the band on the basket and the dots on her cheeks R20, her hair Y21 and Y28, the basket E39 and she was highlighted with R00. I used the friends sentiment from my Papertrey set Paper tray, this set is so great for mixing sentiments! Willow was cut out with my curved Rectangle Nestabilites and added to a layer of Papertrey Ripe Olive and Sweet Blush. The base card is Sweet Blush and the ribbon is Papertrey Ripe Olive twill.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

3 Saturday Challenge cards!!

Hi everyone!!! Today I was able to make a card combining 3 challenges!! The first challenge was the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast. I was immediately drawn to the circle piece with checkers and roses, beautiful!!! The second challenge was Jen's sketch challenge, what a great sketch!! And the final challenge was Ashley's color challenge on Paper Craft Planet. The colors are gorgeous together!! With a little help from my good buddy Janice I chose the Whipper Snapper Flower Quilt image by Anna Wight. I LOVE this image!!! The Whipper Snapper site must be down right now so I am not able to give you a link, sorry!!
The colors in the color challenge are to use white, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red and Vanilla. In going with my goal to use my Copics more, I chose colors closest to the colors Ashley chose. I don't have a olive color so I did use my SU Old Olive marker to color the leaves and grass. To add white into the image I used my Signo pen, though you cannot tell in the photo!! The base card and image are Very Vanilla cardstock, I added layers of Riding Hood Red, Old Olive and Dark Chocolate. After coloring the image I cut out using my new curved rectangle Nestabilites and then sponged. I added Sprite Prima flowers and Bella Baubles in the middle. Fun easy card!!!
I hope you are enjoying the weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!!!
