#love

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for the Crazy for Challenges to use eyes or vision and for the Sugar Sketch Challenge.  It was the perfect excuse to use my Hashtag Hipster stamp set, I thought of it as soon as I saw the sketch.  I fell in love with this incentive set as soon as I saw it and had a ton of fun making this card!  I used my Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 and 2 dies and Charcoal sequins to finish off the card.  The colors match just about perfectly irl but I couldn't get them to in the photo!  Also, my dp is printed like this, it kind of drives me crazy to not be straight across but I thought it went well with this card :)
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

love you

Hi everyone!!  I have a card for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge this week.  Love the sketch and it was a perfect excuse to use some of my new toys!!  Just this morning I received this great new Tiny Hearts background stamp from My Favorite Things, love it!!  I also used my brand new Love & Adore You Die-namics, I cut them out 3 times with black cardstock so it would stand out a little better.  The layers were cut out with my Blueprints 20 die-namics (my latest addiction is the blueprints!),  I used Whip Cream cardstock and ribbon and new to me Brick Red ink and cardstock.  I'm really liking these colors and think if it wern't for the bow it would make a great masculine valentine!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Picking Up the Pieces

Hi everyone!! I had a light bulb moment not to long ago, to use Papertrey's new felt (love this stuff!!) for this cute little bear in the Baby Button Bits set!! I wasn't sure how well it would stamp but I thought I would give it a whirl! When I saw the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, I thought it would be perfect! Betsy and Moxie Fab World have issued a paper piecing challenge, though I didn't use paper, I thought it was a fun take on the challenges!! I should have done something more, the card seems blah to me, but the little bear sure makes me smile!! Heehee!!

Yellow

Hi everyone, I'm back!! The mojo is flowing so I made another card. This one makes me so happy!! The Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World is yellow, in trying to decide what image to use I checked out Mercy's sketch for this week which immediately made me think of the flower in my In Bloom set. I had a lot of fun coloring this image, typically I try to be real careful of my color placement but today I decided to let go of that and be a little sloppy! I did stay in the lines though! Ha!! I also added some texture for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, love this embossing folder!!
Thanks so much for stopping by again!

Stamps: Papertrey In Bloom
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White & Lemon Drop
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

hello from the heart

Hi everyone!! Today's card is for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast and for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge to use a pink color scheme. I love pink so this was a great challenge for me!! This weeks featured stamper is Karen, congratulations!! I cased this card, a simply beautiful card!! With Valentines day right around the corner I thought it would be fun to make a background using my Background Basics: Hearts set. I was worried the color was going to be to bright but with the white ink, it toned it down. I made a mistake when stamping the background toward the top so I had to change the location of the ribbon, since we have to change at least 3 things in casing, that worked out really well! I also changed the colors and theme.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Background Basics: Hearts & Vintage Picnic Sentiments
Paper: Papertrey White & Hibiscus Burst
Ink: Papertrey Snow White & Hibiscus Burst

With Love

Hi everyone!! Tonight I have a card to share with you
that I combined 3 challenges. The Just Us Girls color challenge to use Blush, Burgundy, Ivory and Gray, the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch challenge and Moxie Fab Worlds Start to Finish challenge. I think these colors are gorgeous together!! I've been wanting to use these cute little hearts from Papertrey's Basic Backgrounds: Hearts set and I thought this challenge was perfect!! For the inside I stamped the hearts in the corners from Pine's Simple Valentine set, and ran a piece of Scarlet Jewel using my With Love Cuttlebug folder. Such fun challenges!!

CAS Polka Dots

Hi everyone!! I made a double challenge card tonight, for the CAS challenge on Splitcoast to make a Valentine and for the Crazy 4 Challenges, to use polka dots. When I saw the challenge on SCS, I thought of my Background Basics Hearts set and the sentiment from my Year Round Puns set. After I stamped the Background Basics I got the idea to crumple the paper and use my Vintage Touch inks to give an aged look. Then I thought I should distress around the papers. I made the main panel smaller because I didn't want to hide this great Tan Leather cardstock, it has such beautiful texture!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Background Basics Hearts, Year Round Puns
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury Ivory, Tan Leather & Papertrey Hibiscus Burst
Ink: Papertrey Vintage Touch, Vivid Taupe & Tuscan Tan

Curly Cupcake

I'm back with another cupcake card for the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch challenge and the Just Us Girls color challenge!! My Cupcake Collection set was still sitting on my desk and when I saw the 2 challenges I knew I had to use it again!! The color challenge was to use Papertrey's colors Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist and Vintage Cream!! Did you eat Hostess cupcakes when you were a kid? The thought of eating one now just makes my teeth hurt, not to mention I would be bouncing off the walls from the sugar rush!! The little curls remind me of those cupcakes and had to finally use the image!! Thanks ladies for the great challenges!!

I love this sunflower image from Theresa's Autumn Beauty set, it looks like the flower is blowing in the wind! Apple Basket

Did you see the announcement on Gina's blog last night?!!!!! I am extremely honored and excited!!!!! Thank you so much Gina!!!!!!! I made this card for Nina's color challenge on Stamp TV, any color red, chocolate, white or cream and soft sand or kraft (I used kraft since I don't have soft sand yet *wink*). My sketch is for this weeks Crazy for Challenges challenge, what a fun sketch, thanks Cindy!!! I decided to use my Whimsical Autumn set, love this set!!! I colored the image using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. I sponged the outside of the image while it was still in the die and then colored over the apples with my Versamark Pen and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then poked holes in the basket where there were little dots and stitched with Rustic Cream Button Twine. I should have done that after I embossed, oh well, live and learn right?! I also got the idea I should have popped up the apples afterward too, lol!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Give Thanks

Just yesterday I my Gina K order arrived!!! When I saw the sneak peeks of Theresa Momber's set Autumn Beauty, I knew it had to be mine!! Funny thing, the image that sold me was the mailbox and I used the wheel barrow first! LOL!!! But this image was going to fit the sketch on Crazy 4 Challenges better. Initially I was going to do the soot technique Gina did a video on Stamp TV Wednesday, I couldn't get it to work, I need a cheaper candle! So I decided to use some smaller images in the set, randomly stamp using Versamark and heat embossing with clear embossing powder, I really like this look!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Precious & Few

There's a new challenge blog in town!! Crazy 4 Challenges had their first challenge on Saturday, a sketch challenge!! As soon as I saw this sketch I immediately thought of this Expressions set from Inkadinkado. I cut the cardstock 4 1/4 x 9 and scored at 4 1/2. After the base was prepared, the sentiment panel was stamped and cut out, I measured it to 5 1/2. I wanted a little bling so I added Taylor's Tiny Multi-Color Twinkles, you can't tell from the photo but the twinkles match the paper!!
Simple, fast and fun card to put together!!
