You Did It!

Today's card is for Mercy's sketch, what a fun one!! I ran out of time to get last weeks sketch done so I needed to be sure to get one done this week! I thought I had business size envelopes but I don't so I made my card the standard A2 size and my rectangle shape is turned. I haven't used my Cheer Anya stamp in a long time and I thought it was time to ink her up again!!

I will be back this evening for Gina K's day 4 preview, I am so excited to show you my projects!!

Mercy!

Today's featured stamper on Splitcoast is mkstampin74, Mercy, congratulations Mercy, you have a beautiful gallery!!! I chose this card to case, I was immediately drawn to the layout and of course this cute little Hello Ian from The Greeting Farm!! I changed the colors, cut out the panel with my Labels 1 & 2, paper pieced used 2 buttons instead of 3 brads, used brads on his outfit and instead of paper piecing I doodled for this weeks Basic Grey challenge!!! Fun fun fun!!! The flower, Ian's skin and hair are colored with Copic markers.

Raspberry Suite Challenge #3

Ack!!! Almost an entire week since I have made a card and updated!!! Life is crazy crazy crazy for us right now and is only going to get crazier, but more on that another time!! I need to make this short and sweet, hubs and I are going to see Nickelback tonight!!! It was my Christmas present!!! I LOVE them and cannot wait to hear them play!!!

I have been eyeing Cheer Anya for quite some time and finally got her!!! Isn't she CUTE!!!!!!! Love her and I think she will be able to be used for many occasions!!! I colored her for Dawn's Raspberry Suite color challenge to use Kraft, Vanilla, Red, Melon and Soft Pink. The base card is Kraft with a layer of Real Red, Melon Berry and Sweet Blush. I wrapped Melon Berry ribbon around those layers and ran twine through the buttons attaching them to the ribbon with glue dots. I added buttons with twine on the bottom corners also. I cut a Real Red layer with my pinking circle Nestabilites, cut a layer of Melon Berry and Sweet Blush using my circle Nestabilites. Anya was colored with Copic markers, cut out and attached to the Sweet Blush layer.

I have a few challenges I plan on participating in this week if all goes well!!!

Wedding Cards

Hi everyone!! I have 2 wedding cards to share with you today. My cousin is getting married in Mexico on Valentines day and I needed to make one to give to them and I told my Grandma I would make one for her to give to them. My first card I did for Kimmie's day six birthday challenges. Her challenge was to use a boy or a girl and flowers!! This image from PysselPassion fit perfectly into the challenge, a boy, a girl and flowers!! LOL!!! I highlighted Agnes' dress with my B00 Copic Marker, her hair colored with E31 and colored Edwin's suit with W5 and W7, his hair was colored using Y21. I highlighted the entire image using Y00. Edwin's tie, pocket, vest and the flowers were colored with B21. I added K & Co pearls to the centers of the flowers in her hair, his suit and her bouquet. I did have enough pears for the dots surrounding them so I used my Liquid Pearls, looks very similar!! The image was cut out using my oval Nestabilities. I cut the Papertrey White Select out using my scallop oval Nestability and then ran it through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then took a piece of Spring Rain and attached it behind the scallop oval.

For my second card I used my Cake Topper set from The Greeting Farm. I really wanted to make a card using wedding bells and I think these are so nice!! I stamped them in Versamark and then Encore Silver ink, sprinkled clear embossing powder and heat set. I then cut the image out using my heart Nestabilites. For the large white layer I cut a larger size heart Nestability and then ran it through my Cuttlebug using my Textile embossing folder. I attached that layer to a piece of Silver cardstock from Papertrey. The base card is Papertrey White Select cardstock. Quick simple elegant card!!

Go Steelers!!

Hehe!! Hubs and I love the Steelers so that is who we will be cheering for Superbowl Sunday!! This card is for Sherrie's challenge for Taylor's celebration. This sketch had me stumped for a while until I was looking on my desk that I had colored earlier in the week just waiting to turn it into a card. The perfect sketch for this image!!!! The old brain started turning and I came up with a couple of ideas!! LOL!!! The image is Quarterback Ian from The Greeting Farm which will be coming to Treehouse Stamps any day now!! I am so excited, I think these stamps are so cute!!! I colored him using my Copic markers and cut the image out using my circle Nestabilites. The panel behind is also cut out with my circle Nestabilites with black cardstock. The "football" was cut out using my oval Nestabilites and then run through my Cuttlebug using my Mesh embossing folder. I then poked so holes and stitched for the thread!! I cut out strips of black and Yo Yo yellow and attached them to a piece of dp from Papertrey's Father Knows Best paper pack. I added the little rhinestones in the corners and then attached to black cardstock as the base. The top left corner still looked a little blah so I pulled out my Simple Alphabet set from Papertrey and created the Go Steelers sentiment!! Perfect!! Just what the card needed!!!

Not Quite Breezy Krafts

Good evening everyone!! As I was hoping, I was able to get the color challenge card done so this makes post number 2 for today!!! Today's colors are Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Kraft. As I was coloring this cuuuuuuute image Hello Ian (The Greeting Farm) today, I was guessing on the colors with my Copic markers and was pleased when I got home and pulled out the cardstock how close the colors are!!!! I love this little guy, not only do I think he is so cute but also this is my hubs' name so I had to grab a couple of images!!! This image will be available from Treehouse Stamps soon, they are on pre-order now!!! I cut the main image out using my Nestabilites Labels Two (on sale now at Treehouse!!!), I love these new labels!!!! The layer behind the main image is Not Quite Navy. I embossed the Baja Breeze layer using my Houndstooth Embossing Folder that I got from my good buddy Janice (*waving hi*) for my birthday!! This is such a great folder for masculine cards!!! I cut out another layer of Not Quite Navy using my Nestabilites labels, stamped out the sentiment using my Paper Tray set from Papertrey. I love this set, there are endless possibilites on the sentiments you can create!!!! I used Making Memory brads, I was trying to find some that would match the Kraft cardstock (the base card) and these are as close as I have.

Sunday's Challenges

Hi Everyone!! Hope you are having a great weekend!! It has been cool rainy and dreary here in Minnesota. We need the rain so I shouldn't complain!!

I have made 2 challenge cards today. My first card is for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge from Friday. Earlier this week I got this fun cupcake set from Pink Poison's Splended Little Company. I cannot remember where I saw someone use the set but I had to seek it out and get it!!! I stamped the image twice, once on white paper and the second on the designer paper. I cut out the designer paper and attched to the white. I used pink stickles for the frosting and Christmas red for the cherry. I have some tiny beads I picked up at Michaels quite some time ago and sprinkles some on the frosting and used them on the border of the oval. I attached the designer paper to Dark Chocolate cardstock and ran the pretty in pink cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the Happy Birthday folder. Simple, fun card to make!!

My second card is for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast. Lazy Lizard is today's featured stamper and this card is the one I chose to case. I really liked the layout. I used different colors, stamp set, ribbon and turned the layout. I used my Birds of a Feather set from Papertrey, I just love this set!!! I stamped the bird using Papertrey's Dark Chocolate ink on Confetti White cardstock, attached to a layer of Kraft cardstock and then Dark Chocolate. I ran some Kraft cardstock through my Cuttlebug using my Bird Call embossing folder. I really like how the bird in the stamp set and the bird on the embossing folder look so similar!! I attached this fun ribbon from May Arts to the Kraft layer, attached those 2 to Dark Chocolate cardstock and the main card is Confetti White from Stampin UP!. Another very simple card but I am very happy with the results!
