Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine

Hi everyone!!  Today's card is for this weeks CAS-ology challenge, Sparkle and this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Shimmer & Shine challenge based on this photo:
Isn't that gorgeous?!!  As soon as I saw this photo the idea for my card immediately came to me and I saw  the CAS-ology challenge fit right in!!  The sentiment was heat embossed in silver embossing powder and the star  embossed with gold embossing powder, the scored lines were inspired from the lines around the side of the plate, I had to use the gold edged ribbon, it seemed to fit so perfect!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Poppy Inspiration

Hi everyone!!  I've been busy stamping away today!!  I haven't had a lot of time to play in Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger for a while but headed over there today and look at this gorgeous photo:
Of course I had to get out the great poppy flower from Melanie's Stately Flowers 1 set!!  It took me an incredibly long time to get my card done though.  It all started by going into my room and spilling my cup of coffee all over the place!  I made 1 card but it was really, REALLY bad!!  My second image that I colored, I was completely done and ready to put it on my card and I dropped an ink pad on it!!  3rd times a charm I guess!!  Ha!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!

Winter White

Hi everyone!!  Today's card is for Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger, Winter White.   I decided to use my Bird Call embossing folder, to mimic the leaves on the cake.  Because the flowers and leaves are raised a little, I popped my layer up using pop dots and because there are little dots in the middle of the flowers I added white pearls!  Thanks Cath for the fun trigger!!

Tuesday Trigger

Hi everyone!!  If you've been following my blog you know that I have dedicated this month to Breast Cancer Awareness and having pink in my cards.  Today's doesn't because I was so drawn to this gorgeous sweater for today's Tuesday Trigger.  Isn't it gorgeous and the colors fun?!  It is most definately sweater weather in Minnesota today!!  Temps are down, real windy and rainy.  Yuck!!  My card is also for Kim's Cancer is for the birds Hop You Can Cling To challenge, this weeks CPS sketch and for Janice's color challenge on Stamp TV, muted colors.  I used white cardstock for my base card and used my Tea Dye Duo to mute it, I did the same thing with the sweet corn layer but I also distressed along the top and bottom to go along with the fringe in the sweater.  The white layer was also muted but prior to that I ran it through with my woodgrain impression plate.  I had to add the buttons like in the sweater!!  :)  I'm not sure if you can see in the picture but I used a tiny bit of yellow in the birds tail to mimic the small amount of yellow in the sweater.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Thank You Friends

Hi everyone!! I've had this idea for a few days and I was finally able to create! This is a thank you to all my friends who visit me!! I haven't been able to blog much and I so appreciate everyone!!
My idea started from this weeks Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, (isn't that a GORGEOUS vase!!) and my sketch is from Jessica in the Papercrafts Go to Sketches (page 144). I made the flowers using Papertrey's Beautiful Blooms II Dies #3, crinkling them up a bit and adding buttons in the middle. I used New Leaf ribbon to create leaves on the flowers.

Thanks so much again for all of your support!!

Yellow

Hi everyone, I'm back!! The mojo is flowing so I made another card. This one makes me so happy!! The Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World is yellow, in trying to decide what image to use I checked out Mercy's sketch for this week which immediately made me think of the flower in my In Bloom set. I had a lot of fun coloring this image, typically I try to be real careful of my color placement but today I decided to let go of that and be a little sloppy! I did stay in the lines though! Ha!! I also added some texture for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, love this embossing folder!!
Thanks so much for stopping by again!

Happy Anniversary

Hi everyone!! Today's card is for 3 challenges, Mercy's sketch, Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger and Hope Stamps Eternal inspiration. These were fun challenges that went well together!! I dug through my paper drawer for scraps of dp, I wanted all different types like in the Trigger along with colors like in the inspiration challenge. It was a lot of fun picking paper and placing the nesties just "perfect". After cutting, I folded them in half and popped up with pop dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I Feel Pretty in Turquoise & Gold

Hi everyone!! My card is for this weeks Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger. The inspiration piece is gorgeous!! The wallpaper had ferns so I immediately thought of my Turning a New Leaf set, perfect!! As I was starting to create, I got an idea that I am sure has been done before (though I've never seen it) to run my Versamark marker along the sides of the square, ink the ferns in Versamark and dumped gold embossing powder over the whole thing. It kind of gives the look of another layer and given I don't have gold paper, this works!! I made a mistake in my scoring, I'm kind of glad that happened!! I ran gold cord around that area 3 times! I like how that turned out also!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Tuesday Trigger

Hi everyone!! Today's card is for Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger, I love the triggers, so many beautiful inspiration pieces!! I combined it with this weeks Clean and Simple Stamping's sketch which I think is a great one!! This weeks inspiration piece is black, white and a bit of green, I only used a tiny bit of green, I wish I had ribbon or another embellishment close to the same color as the ink for a little more, though I do like how the little bit looks!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hi everyone! My card for today is for Mercy's sketch challenge and for Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger. I would like to get the Tuesday Trigger's done on the day Cath issues them, but it didn't work out this week! Time is a premium for me right now as I am sure it is for most. I had to play, I loved the inspiration pieces!! I initially thought I would use a stocking stamp but then I thought of this great ornament from my Holiday Hospitality set and decided to go with it instead! How fun to paper piece and use a few different patterns!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Hi everyone!! Today's card is for Moxie Fab World's new feature, Tuesday Trigger. My inspiration came from the napkin with the deep purple and grey leaves. I used the fern from my Whimsical Autumn set stamping in silver ink, I then stamped the leaves from my Beautiful Blooms set using Plum Pudding ink, love this color!! I pierced the corners and then ran my silver ink pad around the edges. I then made a double bow using my Bow easy and attached with a glue dot. Quick easy card! I even received a stamp of approval from my youngest son!!
