When I went to Scrapfest last September I was given this paper from Bo Bunny in my goodie bag and used it for my color inspiration, from there I chose this fun Mocha Pearl Flower Center and chose my cardstock. Hey Hottie

Hi everyone!! My card is for the Mojo sketch challenge, love this sketch!! It is also for the Unity Friends with Flair Inspiration, I loved Carolina's black and white with a touch of color, beautiful!! I thought this teapot and sentiment were so great for the inspiration and the sketch! Sometimes I like to sneak a card in my hubs van so he will find it the next time he goes to work and I think he will get a kick out of this card! I wanted a retro look and colored in the little squares on the teapot with black and teal,I think I achieved the look. I used my paper piercer to add the "steam". I had so much fun making this card!

Dressed Up Trees

My card is a triple challenge card!! For today's Mojo challenge, the Saturday Spotlight challenge to dress up trees and Kay's color challenge on Stamp TV to use Asparagus, Cranberry Tart, light blue and white as the neutral. I was a bit stumped, the blue threw me off, mostly because I'm not much of a blue person!! I knew I wanted to use the trees from my Holiday Cheer set, then I set out to see if I had any dp that had those colors in them. I pulled out my Eskimo Kisses paper pad and I was surprised to find there were a few patterns with these colors!! I chose this cute pattern with the reindeer, I thought it was cute with the trees!! The trees were stamped in Snow White ink, I cut out and sponged around the edge while the image was still in the die. To dress up my trees I added dazzling diamonds glitter, so sparkly irl!!! I stamped the snowflakes randomly on the blue panel with Snow white ink also. Digging through my button stash I found this pretty button that has some sparkle in it as well, score!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

I love this sunflower image from Theresa's Autumn Beauty set, it looks like the flower is blowing in the wind! I sponged around the image while it was still in the die and colored with my Copic markers. I decided to do some faux stitching around the larger panel, I haven't faux stitched in a while.

August Blog Hop!!

It's time for another PTI blog hop!! I missed out on last months so I wanted to be sure to participate, but also because this months theme is Autumn! Given that autumn is my favorite time of year, I HAD to play along!!!
Here in Minnesota the leaves are already starting to turn. We haven't had a real warm summer and it seems the leaves are starting earlier this year, could just be me though too!
I received some images from Papertrey's new Autumn Abundance set, wow, this set is gorgeous!!! The image also fit in perfectly with Monday's Mojo challenge. I pulled out my K & Company mat pad from last year to use as my color inspiration, used my new Diamond and Dots embossing folder for the top portion and colored the image with copics. It was a fun fall card to make!!

Mojo 96

Today's card combines today's Mojo sketch and the color challenge on Stamp TV. The colors are green, brown and a neutral. Great colors!! I decided to use the cute squirrel from my Whimsical Autumn set, I haven't used him in a while and thought he would be perfect in a circle!! I was going to color him but thought he stood well without. I don't do that very often but thought it would be a fun change!! I also changed the layer colors from what I normally do, usually I would have the cream as a base but instead used it as a layer to bring out the color in the dp! I think this will be a great man card so no added extras!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Mojo 94

I wanted to make another card, I haven't done the Mojo challenge yet this week, I kind of forgot about it, not sure how that happened!!! I was stumped on what image to use, for a while I was stuck on using a sentiment but decided on my Bunny Duet stamp, they are so cute!!! I paper pieced the bunnies bellies, feet, her bow and his tie. Under the sentiment and on the necklace I added Taylor's Crystal Twinkles, needed to add a little bling!! I thought it would be fun to bring out some of the colors from the paper that wasn't as noticeable and used the yellow, I LOVE how close Basic Grey and Papertrey colors match!!
Thanks so much for stopping by again!!!

Stamps: Verve Bunny Duet and Flirty Phrases
Paper: SU! Kraf, Papertrey White and Lemon Tart, Basic Grey Wisteria

This is another one for the "not too sure about this one file"! I'm not exactly sure what it is, I kind of think because of all the scallops.
Anyway this card is for Julee's Mojo Monday sketch. I really wanted to use my Posies for You set, another image I have been wanting to use for a while and this sketch was perfect for it!! I also wanted to use my brand new Wisteria paper that I received from Jada in my firecracker package, thanks so much Jada!!! The flowers and leaves have Flower Soft on them, the bucket is kind of a funny color, there is a similar color in the dp that I was trying to bring out!

Today's card is for Julee's Mojo sketch and the color challenge on Stamp TV. I decided to use the hot air balloon from my Eclectic Summer set, I love this set, all the images and sentiments are great!!!!
I colored the hot air balloon with Copic markers, the balloon is up on dimentionals and I paper pieced the middle part, lower part and the basket. I cut the image out with my small labels Nestabilites. The sentiment layer is cut out using my double ended tags and I used 2 red brads from the kit. I added chocolate pearls in the corners of the image and on the red layer. Simple but fun!!

Another fabulous Mojo sketch today!! Always a great way to start the week!!! I decided on Whipper Snapper's Tuxedo Love Bear, he is too cute!! And shame on me, I realized I haven't used a Whipper Snapper image in a while, ack!!! The letters, flower, leaf and bears suit are all paper pieced. I got this great homemade flower from my good buddy Janice (thanks but, LOVE these flowers!!!) and thought it would be great on this card, I added a large dew drop in the middle. The color matches so well!!!

Mojo 81

My good buddy Janice sent me this super cute bunny image and I couldn't wait to color it!!! She also made some crochet flowers that I LOVE and wanted to put the 2 in one card!!! Thank so much bud!!!! This weeks Mojo challenge was perfect to use both things she sent me, woo hoo!!! The bunny was colored using Copic markers, cut out and attached to Pink Pirouette textured cardstock cut out using my small labels Nestabilites. I attached the pink pirouette layer to a layer of True Black cardstock cut out using my small rectangles Nestabilities. I cut out the squares and circles using the same cardstock, attached the flower with glue dots and in the middle I added a black Kaiser pearl. My sentiment is from Taylored Expressions set A Year of Sweet Sentiments. I love this set, so many great sentiments and I LOVE the fonts!!! I added more black pearls around the circle. My base card is Papertrey White Select, I added a layer of True Black and cut 2 rectangles of Pink Pirouette textured cardsock. I added a bow with Pink Pirouette ribbon, attached the layers and added larger pearls on the bottom right corner.

Pink Chocolate Hoods

Today's card is for the color challenge on Splitcoast to use Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red. Pretty color combo!!! I also followed Julee's Monday Mojo sketch. This one had me stumped a bit but it seemed to just come to me tonight, love when that happens!! I started with a Riding Hood Red base, I thought about using the Pink Pirouette but I am not sure if the recipient is a pink lover so I decided against it! I was going to use a different stamp set, but this flower from Papertrey's Life set was already out and on the acrylic block so I went with it (not to mention it is one of my favorite sets right now!!)!! I stamped the flower in Riding Hood Red and the Stem in New Leaf on Very Vanilla card stock. The image panel was cut out using my small labels Nestabilites and adhered to a layer of Papertrey Dark Chocolate cut out using my large labels Nestabilites. I cut out the dp and adhered to a layer of Dark Chocolate cardstock. I realized my dp layer was much larger than the sketch, ds3 was looking at my card and said he liked it better, that made me happy!! I used Pink Pirouette texture cardstock for the small layer and tied a piece of Riding Hood Red ribbon in a bow. The flower panel is up on dimentionals along with the sentiment panel, the sentiment is from my Mixed Messages set, I didn't want a large thank you type of sentiment, this set is so perfect for that!!! I added Chocolate Kaiser Self Adhesive pearls to the sentiment panel and along the side of the image panel.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Mojo 79 & Texture

My card today is for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and Basic Grey's challenge to use texture. I am so glad I have had the time to participate in them recently, they are great sketches!! Again I am using my Life set from Papertrey, I just LOVE this set!!! Last night as I was falling asleep I got the idea to use Flower Soft, and I am happy with how it turned out!! I have a few tubs of the Flower Soft and I chose to use Heather, the colors are so pretty so that is what I used as my color inspiration. I stamped the image in Papertrey's Ripe Olive twice, then without re-inking the stamp, I stamped 3 more times to give a shadow effect, stamping on Papertrey's Vintage Cream cardstock, Ripe Olive is such a beautiful color!!! I attached that layer to a layer of Ripe Olive and Plum Pudding, I then attached the Flower Soft, set aside to dry and worked on the rest of the card. The base card is Papertre's Vintage Cream, I added a layer of Plum Pudding, Ripe Olive and another layer of Vintage Cream. The dp I used is from Basic Grey's Porcelain paper pad, I love the pad, so many beautiful papers!!! I cut the dp and the Ripe Olive layer using my Martha Stewart Cornice Edge punch. I added the image layer, tied a piece of Plum Pudding Twill in a knot and stamped the "thanks" from the original Mixed Messages set.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Mojo and TV Dinners

I have combined some challenges for today's cards!! Yea, I love doing that!!!! Mainly because it really gets me thinking, but also because I am able to participate in more challenges that way!! There are so many out there, I wish there was more time in the day!!! Both of these cards are just about the same, with one little addition on the second card. If you are a Fan Club Member with Splitcoast, every month the Dirty Dozen has a theme of challenges and fan club members are also able to play along!! This months theme is TV Dinners, when I saw this theme, a few ideas came to mind so I couldn't wait to play along!!! My sketch is for today's Mojo challenge, I was stumped at first, lol!! I knew I wanted to use my Sarah Kay Best Friends image (available from Treehouse Stamps!!), it is so cute and reminds me of Laura from Little House on the Prairie!!! I used to LOVE to watch that show when I was a little girl!!! So I inked up my "Laura" with my Copic Markers, her skin was colored using my E50 & E51, the doll was colored with E53, the dolls hair was colored with E53, both of the dresses were colored with BG72 to match Papertrey's Ocean Tides color I knew wanted to use!! I colored the girls hair using Y21 & Y28, their shoes with W5 & W7 and highlighted them with R00. My base card is Papertrey's Select White, with layers of Ocean Tides and True Black. I love the dp from Cosmo Cricket's Honey Pie pad, the swirls match really close to the Ocean Tides!!!

My second card is for the More Is More challenge, you "step the card up", adding something a little more to the original card. In this card, I added the Kaiser Snow Self Adhesive Pearls. They are so pretty and add just a bit more!!!
These challenges were so much fun to participate in!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
