A-maze-ing birthday

Hi everyone!  I've been MIA lately.  I've still been making cards occasionally since we moved but not as much as I'd like.  I have a new job and I'm getting used to my new schedule!  I made this card for this week's Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.  This week's lucky lady is MiamiKel4, congratulations Kelly!  She has a great gallery and I chose to CASE this card, changing the theme, I added a sentiment to the side, colors and I didn't use sequins or ribbon.  This card is made from the latest MFT card kit.  I had so much fun making this card!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

so very thankful

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a couple of challenges.  First, this week's Featured Stamper on SCS.  Congratulations to PaperCraftBoutique!  She has a great CAS gallery!!  I chose to CASE this card, changing the stamps (I used my GKD Old Country Roses set by Claire Brennan), added a layer, and did not do the ombre technique.  My card is also for a former Stamp TV challenge by Cat "I can see clearly now".  We were to use acetate or vellum.  I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of vellum.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Puppy Love

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks MFT card challenge and today's Way to Use It challenge on SCS, Puppy Love.  I thought the sketch was a great one and perfect for this adorable puppy from MFT's You Make My Tail Wag set.  I watercolored the puppy with Gathered Twigs and Walnut Stain for the body and Hickory Smoke for the nose.  I watercolored the dish with Worn Lipstick Oxide ink.  The background and flag panel were stamped with Worn Lipstick Oxide ink and then sprinkled and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast.  This week the lucky lady is bubblestx4, congratulations Linda!  I chose to CASE this card, changing the colors and the theme.  I also just stamped one image and added some Nuvo.  I was able to play with my new Clarity Stencil Brushes for this card.  They are so fun to play with!  I used Carved Pumpkin, Gathered Twigs, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey distressed inks, as I was going for a masculine look.  After I brushed the ink, I spritzed with water and spread it a little for a little more of a blend with the brush.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

New

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and for the CAS challenge on SCS.  This week on the Simon Says Stamp blog,  theme is "Start Afresh", they want us to use something brand new, out of the package and Misti wants us to use something new on the CAS challenge.  On Friday I received this brand new embossing folder from Taylored Expressions, Conversation Hearts.  My sentiment is also from TE, long retired and I used the edge die from Simon Says.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Happy Holly Days

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for hbrown aka Holly's Happy Holly Days Falliday Fest challenge on Splitcoast.  Holly wanted us to use holly and berries on our card.  I inlaid the Paper Smooches Merry Christmas sentiment with gold paper and laid the holly and berries on the m.  I thought it was kind of fun!
I hope you are able to join us for this super fun fest!
Thanks so much for stopping buy today!

may your joy be as countless as the golden grain

Hi everyone!  I'm really excited about my card for today!  The brand new Falliday Fest on Splitcoast starts today with 3 challenges!!  My card is for Lori aka stamp_momma's challenge.  She would like us to make a Thanksgiving card and include wheat.  I started by running Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke distress inks along my ivory cardstock.  I embossed with my Tim Holtz embossing folder and then ran my white inkpad over that.  The wheat die is from Impression Obsession and I cut out with MFT brown paper bag cardstock.  I tied twine around and added silver messy thread behind.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

JeanneS

Hi everyone!  This is my final card for this years Dare to Get Dirty challenges.  I hope you've been able to play along with us, it is a ton of fun with so many great challenges!  This card is for Jeanne's challenge.  It was super quick to make.  I used my much loved Tiny Textures set from Gina K Designs, stamping in her Powder Blue.  Typically I am not a huge blue fan but this blue is gorgeous!  The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder and the "you" was cut out with silver paper.  I really need to get glitter paper, that would have been so much fun!!  To finish off this one layer card I added a few sparkly enamel dots.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for Nancy's SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenge.  Oh how I love to play with embossing paste and stencils!  This stencil is from my new Simon Says kit, Seeing Stars.  I spread embossing paste on this fun firework stencil and added glitter.  White it was drying I added the sentiment, from the same kit, heated with silver embossing powder, then added a star and circle sequins.  They seemed to finish off the card nicely.  The panel is up on fun foam.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Edna15A

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for Edna's SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenge.  I've been stumped or struggled a bit with some of the challenges this week but I've been having a ton of fun!  This is one of those cards that ideas kept coming as I was working along and I really like the end result.  I used my Instant Camera die from Little Inker Designs to make a little scene.  I sprinkled a lighter blue and darker blue Brusho on watercolor paper to try to give the lighter to darker ocean feel but it didn't work out like I thought it would.  I then took a piece of paper, ripped it, rubbed my Versamark pad over it and heat embossed with Sand embossing powder.  Part of the sailboat was cut out with silver paper, I stamped the sails with my Pinstripe Background stamp and popped the boat up.  I then grabbed my stencil that looks like waves to me, mixed Brusho with embossing paste and spread over the paper.  Not my normal style but so much fun to make!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for Sandee's SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenge on SCS.  It seems lately, almost any chance I get, I make a shaker card!  I love them!  They are a bit time consuming but it is worth it, recipients love them, no matter what their age!  For this card I used my Frantic Stamper Large Solid Oranment die and added a variety of sequins and some seed beads and glitter.  I was very generous on this one, there isn't a whole lot of movement when you shake the card!  It is fun to do that once in a while, don't you think?  I was going to add a sentiment but decided against it.  With the large shaker and the holly impression plate, I felt it was enough for the front of the card.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  I'm back today with another Dare to Get Dirty card.  For this card I am participating in Tricia's challenge.  I've had this Burger King image from Whipper Snapper for quite some time but it hasn't seen ink yet!  Not sure why, every time I see this image it makes me smile!  Too cute!!  And if it were me grilling, I would have a fire going in the grill just like this guy!  Simple card, Copic coloring, the panel below the image is on a gingham layer that I stamped with my MFT stamp.  I thought it looked a bit like a tablecloth you would put on a picnic table.  I added some sequins because I made a boo boo and they covered it up well!  :)
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for my SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenge!  For some reason I was in a bit of a funk and couldn't come up with a whole lot for my challenge, I'm ok with how it turned out, I was just hoping for more of a wow card!  I used my MFT Pinstripe Background and Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits stamp sets.  The sentiment was heat embossed and the little wooden stars were added to finish off the card.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for Tabbatha's SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenge.  Just last week I received my new Simon Says Stamp kit, Seeing Stars.  I am so in love with this set!!  So much fun!!  I've not done any of the galaxy techniques I've seen and I didn't have a lot of time when making this card so I had to go with a quick version.  I started out by stamping in Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing power.  I used Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserves Distress inks, spritzed with water to blend and then added larger droplets.  I added fun foam to the watercolor panel for dimension.  I really like how this card turned out and it was so much fun to make!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for looking!!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenge hosted by Vicki!  I LOVE this Vintage Flowers stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs.  The flower images are just gorgeous and I think stamped with colored ink they stand alone so beautifully!  Though I did throw around coloring them, I chose to use my Brutus Monroe chalk inks (LOVE those!!).  I think the flowers look so pretty!  I used my Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress inks and ran them around the panel for a more aged look.  The sentiment is from my Simon Says Happy Birthday set, the font seemed perfect with the flowers!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

I'm back again with another card for today's Dare to Get Dirty challenges!  For this card I got my fingers very inky!  I sponged Twisted Citron, Seedless Preserves, Mustard Seed and Salty Ocean distress inks and sprayed them with my Tim Holtz sprayer.  I love how this came out!  The colors didn't blend as much as I thought they would and I resisted temptation to add larger water drops because as it was drying I thought it was so cool!  I used my Simon Says Painted Happy Birthday dies, cut out in black and added glossy accents.  I added some Pretty Pink Posh Droplets and popped the panel up to finish the card.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Today we are starting off the Dare to Get Dirty challenges on Splitcoast!  For the next week we will have several challenges to play in, we would love if you could join us, it's tons of fun!!  My card for today is for dini's challenge.  This one was quite a challenge for me, I didn't read it correctly when I signed up for it so when I went back I had quite a surprise!  Ha!  But it was fun, I'm always up for a good challenge!  I've had the woodgrain panel on my desk for a while, I was puttering around with my card, I had already picked out the lime color, I held the woodgrain up to the lime and it went so well together!  I used my MFT Always and Forever Stamp Set, Ampersand die and Peek a Boo hearts dies.  So fun!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

thanks so very much

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch and today's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast.  I chose to CASE this card, her layout was similar to the sketch challenge.  I kept the theme but only used 1 color added a layer, Nuvo's and used alcohol inks on Yupo!!  Also, I didn't use glitter on my die cut.  I'm really loving playing with alcohol reinkers and blending solution on Yupo, so much fun and you never get the same result twice!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a couple of challenges.  First, today's featured stamper challenge on SCS, this week Sarah J Moerman is the lucky lady!  She has a great gallery and I chose to CASE this card.  I think I was drawn to it because I knew I wanted to play in the MFT sketch challenge for this week and the sketches are very similar!  I changed the colors, theme and made my card into a shaker.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

sprtchick

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for the featured stamper challenge on SCS.  Congratulations to Amber, sprtchick!  I chose to CASE this card, changing the direction of the stripes, I used Gelatos and die cuts instead of stamps.  I haven't used my Gelatos in a long time and when I saw Ambers card I immediately thought of them.  I had a lot of fun, making a couple of different backgrounds!  I love how this one turned out, the texture look is really fun I think!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!
