Baby

Hi everyone!  This week Freshly Made Sketches has a great sketch that worked perfectly for a baby card I needed to make!  I cut the letters out 4 times for dimension with some dp being the top layer.  I used silver paper to cut out the safety pins and blue paper for the rattle.  I thought the main white layer needed something so I used a texture plate, it seemed to finish off the card perfectly!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

X-Stitch Birthday

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I thought it was a great sketch, but I had to work hard for it!  LOL!!  I just received this new stamp set, Stitched Roses from Waffle Flower.  I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it, besides stamping, I am a cross stitcher and have been for many many years, so of course I had to have it!  I didn't have trouble lining things up, but the acetate sheet moved on me a few times, which of course I didn't notice until I had already stamped so I wasted a few sheets of paper!  The sentiment is from Simon Says "It's Your Birthday!" set which I thought went perfect with the roses!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Happy Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge!  Super fun sketch with so many possibilities!  This set and idea came to me as soon as I saw the sketch.  I decided to go with the traditional black and white but the stars were heat embossed with penny embossing powder.  Quick, simple card!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Thoughts and Prayers

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  Another great sketch this week!  Though I just realized I forgot an element, doh!  But I had fun making the card!  I used one color from my paints and made an ombre effect on watercolor paper..  I decided to die cut in a darker color, the sentiment is stamped in the same color and the panel is on a lighter gray.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Snowflakes

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge and also this week's theme challenge from The Paper Players.  The theme for this week is snowflakes.  I used my Lawn Fawn snowflake dies cut out in gold paper.  I cut out the Merry Christmas in navy paper and applied glossy accents.  I must have been standing odd, the card is straighter than it looks!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Sweet Birthday

Hi everyone!  Today I have a  card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I've been chomping at the bit to play with my new Milk and Cookies stamps and dies from My Favorite Things and this challenge was perfect!  I used Espresso Prills for the chocolate chips, applied Glossy Accents to the milk bottle and heat embossed the sentiments with red embossing powder.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Gobble

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I'm also entering it in this month's Paper Smooches Guest Designer Search, it's been a while since I've tried out, time to give it another whirl!  I had a lot of fun with this card!  A bit ago I received Thanksgiving Dies and Jive Turkey stamp set from Paper Smooches!  I think they are a ton of fun!  I sponged the turkey leg, popped up with pop dots above the dashes dies, stamped the sentiment and added a few enamel dots to finish the card.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

so thankful

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a few challenges.  First, I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches, second, this weeks CASology challenge, this week's cue card is Stitch.  Finally, this weeks Mix it up Monday challenge on Stamp TV, Fair Fun.  My card doesn't look anything like a fair theme but my inspiration came from going down to the Minnesota State Fair last weekend.  We went into the Creative Arts building, it had mostly quilts, many different kinds of foods, cookies, cakes, breads, etc.  But, I found a very small display of cards!  I had no idea you could enter them!  I will keep that in mind if we ever move back!  I used my new Painted Autumn Stamp TV kit.  Love these flowers, all of them actually, they are gorgeous!
I hope you enjoy, and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Remarkable Resist

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a couple of challenges.  First, this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge and also for MFT's Camp Create Remarkable Resist challenge.  I heat embossed snowflakes from my Snowflake Flurry set with clear embossing powder and used Paver Red Ink, I thought it would be fun to use a little different color.  The left side looked so bare so I added a few sequins.  The sentiment is from my Santa's Elves set.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Watercolor

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a few challenges, this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge, this weeks CASology challenge, the cue card is watercolor and finally this weeks Mix it Up Monday challenge on Stamp TV to use piercing in our project.  That one was especially fun, I used to pierce a lot but haven't in quite so time!  I used one of my newest Gina K Designs stamp sets, So Cool.  Love all the fun popsicles and ice cream cones, perfect for the sketch!  I used the sentiment from GKD, Sweet Things and behind the cones I added a light layer of Tiny Textures.  I colored my Mint Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chip ice cream with Zig Clean Color markers and added Nuvo Ebony Black for the chips.  I also added glossy accents to the caramel, hot fudge toppings and the cherries.  The cones are up with pop dots and I pierced the corners.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Inlaid Made Easy

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge and for MFT's Wednesday Camp Create.  I went with the super easy for this camp create challenge.  I was going to use the scribble flower as my inlay but I thought it might be too frustrating for me tonight so I inlaid the white section below the flowers.  The flower panel is up on pop dots.  I don't think you can see it in the photo but I used my white Wink of Stella on the white below the flowers for a little sparkle.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Christmas in July

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for 3 challenges that I have combined.  I'm working on a big project right now so stamping for fun is at a premium!  I may be scarce for a bit!  The first challenge is last weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge (getting it in just under the wire!), next, for this weeks The Paper Players challenge to make a Christmas in July project and finally this weeks Simon Says Monday challenge to make a project with red, white and/or blue colors.  I think it isn't too early to start on Christmas cards so these challenges all fit well together!  I used my MFT Hand Lettered Holiday stamp that was heat embossed and MFT Sweater Stitched Background stamp.  These 2 sets combined make a quick, great card!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Camp Create - Delightful Die Cutting

Hi everyone!  Today I'm participating in this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge and today's MFT Camp Creative Delightful Die Cutting challenge.  Almost every single time I see a circle in a sketch I think of my MFT Donuts and Sprinkles stamp set and dies.  I have to stop myself or I wouldn't be making cards with many other sets!  I didn't stop myself this time though, a small donut was perfect for the sketch!  I decided this time to make a cake donut with chocolate frosting, my favorite kind!  I sponged a bit of Antique Linen along the edges of the donut, added glossy accents to the frosting and a few vanilla sprinkles!  I used a couple elements from my Blueprints 21 and added a few enamel dots to finish off the card.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Fun with Felt

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a few of challenges, this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge the, the Simon Says Monday challenge, Felt That and Simon Says Wednesday challenge, fun with felt.  I immediately thought of my Rolled Scallop Rose die-namic to make a felt flower. when I saw the felt challenges!   I haven't used this die since I received it, not sure why because it is so easy and fun!  The sentiment is from my new MFT Rainbow Greetings stamp set, love the great sentiments!  To finish the card I added a few random sequins.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Kraft Birthday

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a couple of challenges.  First, this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge and for today's Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.  Congratulations to Carla!!  I chose to CASE this card, using only 1 color, changing the theme and didn't use an embossing folder.  I used my new stamps from Lil Inker Designs, Vintage Flowers.  Such a gorgeous set!!!  I cut out the Happy Birthday from my Elizabeth Craft dies 3 times for dimension.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Let's get Trashy

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for a couple of challenges.  First, for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge, a great sketch with TONS of possibilities!  Second, for this weeks Stamp TV Mix it Up Monday challenge.  This week we are to get trashy, use something that would normally get thrown.  On the far left is a part of the weekly newspaper that we get that I cut down to size.  It was this color that determined which way I was headed with my card!  I used my new Handmade Botanicals set for the ferns.  I had to use the bird from my By the Sea set due to a mistake.  Actually this card was really one mistake/problem after another, I thought I was going to have to start all over a few different times!  But, this card turned out better covering up boo-boos!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

It's your Birthday!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  When I first saw the sketch I had no idea what I was going to do, It wasn't speaking to me.  But when I got to my craft room and this truck from Gina K's Country Roads stamp set was already colored it all came together! I used my Lil' Inker Desigsn Silly Stitch die set for the top layer and circle.  I added washi tape, popped the truck up on pop dots and stamped the sentiment from my Gina K Birthday Greetings stamp set.  I think it will make a great masculine birthday card!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!
