Make a Wish

Have you ever had one of those yummy cakes with the filling and to die for frosting from Costco? Well that is what this stamp reminds me of!! LOL!! I haven't had one of those cakes in a long time but I sure love them!!! This stamp is from a new line that Treehouse Stamps is carrying, Stamps Away, this image is Cake Slice with Candle. Isn't it yummy!! I colored the image with my Copic markers, making 2 layers in the middle "strawberry" just like a Costco cake!! LOL!! Couldn't help myself!! I colored the candle to match the paper but it doesn't look like it in the photo!! I cut the image out using my circle Nestabilites, the 2 layers of Dark Chocolate were cut out using my scallop circle Nestabilites, I cut a piece of Pale Plum with a larger size Circle Nestability and the strip against the base layer and cut around the scallops. The base card is from a pack my good buddy Denise got me when she went to a stamping convention last fall. These are great!!! I decided to put Liquid Applique and heat set it for the frosting. I was originally going to leave it without coloring to look like vanilla frosting, I should have cut more strawberries out and popped them up, they look so lost in the frosting!!! I added yellow and Christmas Red stickles on the flame and I used Lavendar Moon Twill ribbon at the top since I don't have any Pale Plum ribbon and it matches real well!! Though the Lavendar Moon cardstock didn't. Ha!!
My sketch follows Monika's sketch for Taylor's celebration!! Another great sketch!! I can see myself using this one again!
Thanks for stopping by!!
