What a week it has been!!! Our youngest and oldest son had a cold and were kind enough to pass it along to me!! I have been sick all week and have not created since last Saturday!! Talk about withdrawl!! LOL!! Along with being sick, I found out that my hours are being cut. However, I am very fortunate that I still have a job, so many others are not quite as lucky. I have a great job, a great boss at a great company, hopefully it is only temporary.
On to my card!! This card is for last Sunday's High Hopes challenge, to make an Easter or Spring card. I don't have any Easter images from High Hopes so I decided to use my Reflecting Pond and Duck Family images. Seeing ducks in the ponds screams spring to me!!! And by the way, would spring get here already!! I colored the images with my Copic markers, highlighting the ripples and along the rocks in B00. I cut the ducks out, glued them on separately and added Liquid Glass for a water look. The image was cut out using my long rectangle Nestabilites and applied to a layer of black cardstock cut out using my long rectangle scallop Nestabilites. I used a piece of dp from my Papertrey Father Knows Best Patterned paper. I wrapped a piece of Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon from SU! and tied in a knot. The base card is Basic Gray.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Cute! LOVE the basic gray...hadn't thought to use it with this rock image. I'm thinking of you on the job front!
