One Layer

Today's card is for Charmaine's Verve anniversary challenge. Her challenge was to make a one layer card. No pop ups, additional layers of any kind. Now I like making CAS cards but it sure isn't easy for me making a card look good with just one layer! But I was up for the challenge and a good one it is! Thanks Charmaine!! Of course I reached for my favorite Verve set Because of You, this is my favorite image in the set, so delicate and pretty!! After I stamped the image I ran it through my Cuttlebug using my oval Nestability to bring it out more. I knew I wanted to use the ribbon on top but the card sure needed more! Then I got the bright idea to use a punch at the bottom and sponge around the edges!!! I used the cubes from Papertrey's Vintage Touch Inking System, love these little cubes! I really like the feel it gave to the card!
