Woweeee!!!

Typically I don't make goals for stamping. Of course there are a few big things I would like to achieve, but haven't set a timeline for myself. However I did set a goal this year and I am so excited that I have achieved it!!! Imagine my surprise when I received an email from Taylor asking me to be this weeks Featured Sketch Sampler!!! Thank you so much Taylor, I am so honored!!!!
As with all of her sketches, I love this one!! I actually made 2 cards, the final vote went to my family and this is the card that they chose. Hubs said it looked "yummy", how is that for a compliment?! I am very lucky that he supports my hobby 100% but usually I get "that's cute" no matter what kind of a card it is, lol!!!
As I was deciding on images to use, this sundae from Gina K's
100% Sweet set screamed out to me. I immediately thought to add Liquid Applique to the area that I think most would use as a topping. Before heat setting I added glitter, I like to do that any time I use Liquid a
Applique as it is sticky and the glitter diminishes that. I used Liquid Pearls and stickles for the ice cream. The image was colored with Copic markers and highlighted with my Sakura Clear Gelly Roll pen. My final touch was to add Red Candy Dots on the cherries, irl the candy dots and red in the dp match real nice, you know how I love when that happens!!
My good buddy Denise (*waving hi bud*) always does such a beautiful job decorating the inside of her cards, I always mean to do it but by the time I get the front done, it escapes me. Yea for me, I remembered this time!!! I think it finishes off the cards so nicely.
Thanks so much for stopping by and joining my excitement!!
