Gina's Color

Hi everyone! I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to look out the window and seeing leaves on the trees, the pretty song birds and butterflies!! Time for spring!! Gina issued the design team a challenge to use one of the newest sets along with any 2 colors from the Pure Luxury Spring Assortment. I decided to use my Dream Birds set, I just love this set, so much fun!! I got the idea to make a card as though you are looking out the window. I started out by stamping all the images on Pure Luxury white cardstock, I then stamped the branch on Tan Leather, the bird on Ocean Mist and the leaves on Creme de Menthe, paper piecing after the images were cut out. I colored the butterfly using my Copics and added clouds! I then applied a piece of acetate over the image and made a frame from Chocolate Kisses. The sentiment was added to the bottom, it looked kind of boring so I pierced using my Ornare paper piercer, I thought it was kind of fun and seemed to go with the feel of the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
