Tuesday Challenge Cards

Hi!!!! I have a couple of cards to share with you today! My first card is for the color challenge on Splitcoast. Today's colors are Red Riding Hood, Always Artichoke and Basic Gray. Pretty colors!!! I used this cute Penny Black image I received through the PIF thread on Splitcoast. I colored the image using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. After coloring I highlighted the image using my Copic cool gray 1 marker. I ran a piece of Red Riding Hood through my Cuttlebug using my Flower Dots embossing folder and the Basic Gray was run through using my new Forest Branches embossing folder. The main image is cut out using my largest Nestability circle and the Always Artichoke layer partially behind I used my largest scallop circle Nestability. Before assembling the circles, I attached a piece of Red Riding Hod ribbon. I wanted to do a bow but was having a tough time with it since the ribbon is so wide!

My second card is for the OCC challenge from Saturday. Amy chose a sketch challenge for this week and it is a real nice fun sketch!! I just received this new set from Gina K Designs which was designed by Carolyn King called Whimsical Autumn. Carolyn designed this set in honor of her Grandmother and all proceeds will be going to Alzheimer's Association. Carolyn's Grandmother passed away this past July and had Alzheimer's. My Grandmother also had Alzheimer's and passed away many years ago so as soon as I read that all proceeds would be going to the Assciation, I had to purchase the set! This is a real fun set as well!!! I chose the Pussy Willow image, stamping it in Dark Chocolate on Confetti White cardstock, applying Liquid Glass to part of the vase and applying Liquid Applique to the flowers. I used my Sakura Clear Gelly Roll pen around the entire image. I stamped the fern in Handome Hunter and stamped a background. For the sentiment layer I stamped off the Handsome Hunter once and stamped the sentiment over using Dark Chocolate. Both the image layer and the sentiment layer are on Handsome Hunter and Chocolate Chip cardstock. Fun card to make!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
