Holiday Birthday Cupcake

Hi everyone!! Sorry I haven't been blogging much this week, lots and lots of things to finish up before Christmas!!! I did make some time today to participate in Taylor's Cupcake Challenge!! She has a fun sketch this week and I had this image colored up already and it fit perfectly for the challenge!!! The image is Christmas Cupcake from Treehouse Stamps, LOVE this image!! I thought it would be fun to make a birthday card for those with a birthday around the holiday!! I colored the image using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. I highlighted the image with my clear Sakura Gelly Roll Pen, need some added sparkle for the occaision!! For the frosting I used Opal Liquid Pearls (coming sooon to Treehouse!!!) and then sprinkled Margarita and Vixen Red Chunky Glitter from Treehouse Stamps. I found this fun Daisy D dp in my stash and thought it went perfect!!! I cut out the black layers with my scallop long rectangle Nesties, the main image is cut out using my round Nesties and the panel behind using my scallop circle Nesties. I wanted to use a sentiment from the Christmas cupcake set but one wouldn't fit so I used my Mixed Messages set from Papertrey Inc. The embellishments under the sentiment are Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, perfect!!!!

I also wanted to mention, tomorrow, Sunday December 21st is the last day of the 20% off sale at Treehouse Stamps!!! Ashley has put some GREAT new goodies in the store, you don't want to miss it!!!
