Cupcake Challenge

Hi everyone!! Happy New Year!! I hope it was a good one for you! We went over to a neighbors for a couple of hours and had a nice time. Plus we didn't have to drive, bonus!!
I apologize for my absence, I have been busy working on my little bro's save the dates. I am almost done!!!
My card for today is for Taylor's cupcake challenge from yesterday. I love participating in them and she always has great sketches!!! I have some 5 x 5 square envelopes and this card was cut to fit in them. The base and the scallop layers are Pink Pirouette from SU! I added a dp layer from Basic Grey's Bittersweet pad, followed by a layer of Rose Red. The cupcake image is from Lockhart available at Ellen Hutson's store, Single Cupcake. The cupcakes fit perfectly in the circles!! The cupcake was stamped on Papertrey White Select cardstock, the bottom portion of the cupcake was stamped on the Bittersweet dp and cut out. For the frosting I added Liquid Applique and before heating I sprinkled Vixen Red chunky glitter from Treehouse. I like to add something onto the Liquid Applique, if I don't it is "sticky", by adding glitter or something else, when mailing the card, it won't stick to the inside of the envelope! The sentiment cirlce is from Papertrey's Birthday Basics set. My final touch was to add the ric rak ribbon to go along with the scallop circles and for the cherries I used candy dots!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
