Happy Valentines Day to you!!! I volunteered to make a card and alter a mailbox for our youngest son to give to his girlfriend today. I was going to make them last night but I had such a horrible headache I couldn't get creative!! Ugh. So this morning was crunch time!! LOL!! I wanted to follow Taylor's sketch from yesterday and I checked out the Basic Grey challenge, to use one of their products and a heart. Yea!! I really liked Taylor's sketch but for some reason I have such a hard time with different size pieces for some reason, I must practice more!! When I saw Taylor's sketch, I knew right away I wanted to use my new set Roses & Chocolate from There She Goes. This is such a great set!!! I colored the images using my Copic markers and cut it out to add to the circle. The base card is Very Vanilla with a layer of Raspberry Fizz and then added the different papers from my Bittersweet paper pad.
Here is a picture of the card and mailbox I altered. I used 2 of the same papers that I used in the card and wrapped them around. Where the seams meet I added retired ribbon from Stampin
Up! I traced around the front of the mailbox as a template and added Happy Valentines Day from the Roses & Chocolate set, along with the hearts on the flag. Finally I tied ribbon in knots on the flag.
Sorry for the bad picture, I should have taken one of the mailbox separate, but not knowing when she was coming over, I was kind of in a hurry and not thinking straight I guess!! LOL!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping!!!!
Fabulous card and altered Mail Box - love it!
