Cupcake Friday!!

Friday's are great, it is Taylor's cupcake challenge!!! Taylor's love for cupcakes rubbed off on me a long time ago and I have a hard time using other stamps but cupcakes!! I had it stuck in my head to use this fun cupcake from Magnoia stamps, Alota Cupcake. Love this one!! I stamped the image on Papertrey White Select cardstock but wanted to have decorative paper. I dug through my stash of Basic Grey and thought these 2 papers from my Infuse paper pack would work perfectly!!! It also gave me a great excuse to use my Cool Caribbean cardstock, retired from SU! a long time ago, but I love this color!!! I stamped the paper portion of the image on the decorative paper and attached. I then ran the panel through my Cuttlebug using my square Nestabilites, part of the top of the cupcake was cut off, but I did that intentionally. I colored the cupcake and frosting using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps, I then cut out the cake and frosting portion separately, the cake portion is up on dimentionals and the frosting portion is up on Pop Dots. They are a little thicker and I wanted that to stand up a little more. I applied Christmas Red Stickles to the hearts and Liquid glass to the remaining areas, I was trying to achieve more of a "gooey" look!! On the Cool Caribbean base, I used a corner punch in the two right corners (I tried with my first piece to punch all 4 corners but the punch wouldn't to through 2 layers!!), I then applied a piece of Papertrey Dark Chocolate and the dp from Basic Grey, punching the right corners. The circle was cut out using my circle Nestabilites and attached to a piece of Dark Chocolate cutting out using my scallop circle Nestabilites. The horizontal layer was punched with my Martha Stewart Cornice Edge Punch, then embossed the "Celebrate" from Taylor's A Year Of Sweets Sentiments set then adding Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on each side of the sentiment followed by wrapping Papetrey's Dark Chocolate Twill around the layer and tying in a knot. The white panel was too bright with the rest of papers so I sponged around the cupcake using Dark Chocolate ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
