Early October Snowfall

While it isn't unheard of, it is unusual to get measurable snow in early October. We had our first snowfall of the year on Saturday morning. In the cities we did not receive much and it was gone by noon. Today is a different story, we are expected to get 3 to 4 inches!! Rumor has it this weekend the highs are in the 50's and 60's, yea!!!!

A couple of days ago, this tree's leaves just dropped, no time to rake!!!

Did you notice in the first picture and this one, there are trees that haven't started or even finished turning?

It is beautiful but I had really hoped it would be a while before we saw snow!!
I will be back a little later, I have a card in mind but I wanted to share with you what we woke up to this morning!!

  1. Aww this is beautiful! I know you're not thrilled, but I love snow. It's the one time of year that my yard looks as good as the neighbor's! LOL!

  2. We are getting our second hit of winter today!! I just took more pics of todays snowfall!! Our tree's still haven't lost their leaves. There are a couple of birch trees on our street that were green three days ago...now...they are gold and falling rapidly! I told hubby it's like a person who see's something horrific and wakes up with white hair the next day!! LOL!
