Gina K Inspiration Hop Day 1!!

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a Gina K. Designs Grab Bag that could have anything from stamps to paper to embellishments! To see the list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!

Melanie's newest set is so fabulous and adds so many more possibilites!!!!  For my card I started out by doing Gina's woodgrain technique, I thought it would be perfect for this card!!  I used Spun Sugar, Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress inks.  I colored my images with Spectrum Noir markers and added a little shine with my Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. and cut out the images attaching with pop dots.  After adding my bow it looked like it needed a little something so I grabbed some pink rhinestones and it seemed to be the perfect little addition!!

One night this idea just came to me for Theresa's newest set!!  It was a bit of trial and error at first but I am glad that I stuck it out because I really like the results!!  I've said this once before already but this card will most likely be what I send out this year!!  I started out by masking off all four sides, stamping the tree and embossing with clear embossing powder.  When it had cooled, I sponged the whole area with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, part way down I sponged Tattered Rose Distress Ink and finally Victorian Velvet Distress Ink at the bottom.  I then sponged Spun Sugar from the bottom to the top to blend the colors all together.  At the bottom of the card I stamped the sentiment with Victorian Velvet, added bling and applied the tree layer with pop dots.
