sending you sunshine

Hi everyone!!  I made it to round 2 of the CAS team tryouts!!  I'm pretty excited!!  The second challenge was a technique challenge, to make your own woodgrain.  I really like this technique and haven't done it for a while so it was a lot of fun for me!!  I got this idea right away last night so I decided to get to it, the cards are due Thursday at noon so not a lot of time to change my mind :)  I decided to make a frame for the woodgrain technique.  I started out with GKD Sandy Beach cardstock, used my Scor-Pal to score the lines and used Vivid Taupe, Tuscan Tan and Coffee Bean inks.  I then stamped and heat embossed this great image from Sweet 'n Sassy's Landscape Silhouettes set.  I had to go with this image since the theme for the CAS tryouts is Lobster Bake :)  I sponged Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress inks for the water and Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Fired Brick for the sky.  Finally I added an old sentiment stamp from AMuse, it seemed perfect!!
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!!
