Holly Jolly Stamping

Hi everyone!  Today I have a card for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.  This weeks challenge is Holly Jolly Stamping.  I had a lot of fun with this one!  First, I cut out the Merry Christmas die 4 times.  For some reason I have a heck of a time lining cut word dies together.  I knew I was also going to use red on my card so I cut out 2 white and 2 red and alternated as I was putting them together.  Then I spritzed my watercolor paper with water and sprinkled Scarlet Brushes.  I heat set it applied the words and the hat.  The hat was cut out with red felt, the brim has white sparkly Flower Soft and the ball of the hat has Liquid Appliqué with glitter sprinkled on.
I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today!

  2. This card turned out beautifully! Way to persevere with the die-cut words! I struggle with that myself sometimes, too, but your card looks incredible. I really like how it has traditional colors and the iconic hat, yet it's totally modern with the watercolor look. Well done! Thanks so much for sharing your skills with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and happy holidays to you and yours!
