Challenge Cards and a RAK

Good evening and happy Friday the 13th to you!! I hope you had a good week. Tonight I have a few cards to share with you. The first card I made for Taylor's cupcake challenge and the limited supply challenge on splitcoast - Get Knotty, we were to use knots in our card. I received this great image from my good friend Denise and I just love it!! I colored the image using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. You probably can't tell from the picture but I took a very light blue and blended for the sky, very subtle. The main card is River Rock cardstock, a layer of Always Artichoke cardstock which I stamped the sanded background stamp using Always Artichoke ink, but you can't really see it in the picture. I found this ribbon in my stash which I thought went great with the different colors in the image. I used a sand designer paper and the red has a glow like water so it all seemed to come together really nice!!

The next card is for Beate's sketch challenge. Another great sketch!! I colored this image during my lunch break a couple of days ago using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. This is another image from Denise!!! It is from Whipper Snapper and I beleive it is called Ants in a Basket. I have been wanting a picnic stamp for quite some time so I was very excited when she gave me the images!! This image was a lot of fun to color and it is so cute!!! This card base is also River Rock and the designer paper I picked up from my lss a month ago or so. I thought it was fun paper to go with the image, patriotic and also good for a picnic theme. This paper is reversable and I used both sides of both papers. The ants are up on dimentionals. Initially I colored them in black but it was too much so I used a charcoal color which seems much nicer and popped up the bodies!!

This last card was a very nice surprise in my mailbox!!! I it received from SmilynStef on SCS. It is such a beautiful card!!! I just love the pop of the green and the pink rhinestones!!! Thanks so very much Stephanie, it is beautiful!!!
