Farewell to In Colors

Hi everybody!! The card I made tonight was for today's color challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge was to use a neutral and any of the retiring in colors, no other colors. I knew right away I wanted to use my Text Box set from Papertrey. I wanted to cut out the stars and add glitter to them. I did not have any other idea on what I was going to do!! I stamped the stars panel in Stampin Ups Blue Bayou, since it didn't stamp out perfectly, I decided to go with it and distress the other panels. I really like the look of distressing and it seems to fit well with stars!! I did cut out the stars, added glitter and popped them up with pop-dots. After adding the ribbon, the card still looked kind of plain, I thought about paper piercing but that didn't seem right. I was looking through my stash and the pearl Bella Baubles jumped out at me!!! I was really wishing I had River Rock brads but the baubles seemed to work!! A very different card, the jury is still out on this one!!
