Way's to Use It - Sharpen Up

Hi!! Happy Thursday!! I am looking forward to the long weekend coming up!! We are heading up north to my sister-in-laws cabin for the weekend and the weather is supposed to be perfect!!!

Today's card is for the Way's to Use It challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge is to use pencils, yes!! Right up my alley!!! I received this fun sneaker image from Rubbernecker just yesterday and couldn't wait to ink it up!! After coloring the image with my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps I cut the image out, crumbled up a small piece of Basic Black cardstock, tore around the edges and applied the image to the bottom portion. I then took a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, tore around the edges and down the middle. I punched holes using my Crop-O-Dial and added red eyelets. I then took some twine and laced like you would a shoe. That part can be a bit frustrating, getting the lacing how you would like it but as it turned out, most of it was hidden by the image, oh well!!
