Sleepy Time Sketch

Hello!!! Today's card is for the sketch challenge on SCS. This Sleepy Time Riley from Hanna Stamps is so cute and wanted to color him up!!!! I colored him using my Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol and blending stumps. I cut him out using my oval Nestabilites and attached to a layer of Basic Black using my scallop oval Nestabilites. I was having a tough time, I did not know what to do with the base card as it looked so plain. I thought about an embossing folder but nothing seemed right. I went through my huge stack of dp, picked out a few and settled on this. I think it looks ok. Not totally thrilled but it looks so much better than nothing!! I attached the dp to the base which is Brilliant Blue. I cut a strip of Lemon Tart from Papertrey, used my 1 1/4" punch from SU to cut the circles and added these fun moon brads from Eyelet Outlet and added a strip of Basic Black. The final touch was to add yellow fun flock to Riley's Slippers and the ball on his hat!!! It doesn't match the Lemon Tart cardstock but I couldn't resist using it!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
