Finishing Strong

Hi everyone!  Today I'm participating in the Operation Write Home Finishing Strong Bloghop.  Operation Write Home, a charity that has supported heroes with handmade cards since 2007, will be closing later this year.  All cards need to be sent in by August 1st, so I'm helping get the word out!

My card was inspired by sketch #159:
I'm really into watercoloring lately so I watercolored the balloon with Fired Brick and Faded Jeans distress inks, I added red white and blue twine and splattered the inks on the main panel.

    Great card! Love the splatter effect, especially love the multiple colors , the balloon tail is nice interpretation of the sketch! TFS!

    Lori, what an awesome card! Your distress painting raises the balloon to a new level (pardon the pun)! It's stunning and I am definitely going to C.A.S.E. this one! It has been great to volunteer with you for OWH and fun to Finish Strong!!

    Cool card; I like the use of the twine in place of the horizontal line at the bottom of the sketch.
